Join us for Newtown Spring Festival. Guests will enjoy live music, local gospel choirs, dance performances, vendors, food trucks, kids’ activities, and community spirit.
Event Details
Carrying on the tradition of the historic Newtown Easter Parade, a neighborhood institution since the 1960s, community leaders have organized a new event in the spirit of the original.
The Newtown Spring Festival will be held on Sunday, April 17th, 2022, from 1pm to 5pm at the Robert L. Taylor Community Complex.
The event is free and open to the public. Guests will enjoy live music, local gospel choirs, dance performances, vendors, food trucks, kids’ activities, and a strong sense of community.
The festival is a truly collaborative effort, bringing together a variety of different individuals and organizations, including Newtown Alive, Shantel Norman, Gwendalyn Fleetwood, Newtown Nation, Sarasota's African American Cultural Coalition, the Sarasota Police Department, and the City of Sarasota.
