The purpose of the childbirth class is to help you better understand the process of labor and delivery and to answer any questions about your birthing process. Some topics we will cover include: anatomy and physiology, birth basics, comfort techniques, hospital procedures, and medical interventions. Attendance should be planned for the last trimester of pregnancy.
This course is available as either a three (3) class series on consecutive Tuesdays, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., or one (1) Saturday session 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Both are held in the Conference Center at Bayfront Health Port Charlotte. The cost is $50.00 per couple. Please pay via credit card while registering for class. If you pre-register for hospital delivery at Bayfront Baby Place prior to the class, the class fee is waived.
If you do not plan on hospital delivery at Bayfront Baby Place, you will be prompted on the following screen at check-out to pay by credit card. Please bring your receipt confirmation to the class.
