It's about time... a real comedy show has finally made it to the Common Grounds. This show features seven of the areas best stand up comedy acts. Check it out...
Dan Gierlach: Dan rules "The Comedy Cave" where he hosts and entertains audiences monthly at Beef O'Brady's in Parrish FL.
Lynn Lane: Lynn aced Visani's Got Talent this October, another comedy crown jewel after winning McCurdy's Comedy Club open mic competition this year.
Kathy McSteen: For the past two years, Kathy organized, hosted and performed locally in "Women of Comedy" and was voted a crowd favorite in Visani's First Comic Standing.
Rosco Nash: A native New Yorker now living in Sarasota, Rosco hones his craft by tearing up comedy stages from here to NYC and hosting regularly at The Gotham Comedy Club.
Gid Pool: North Port's own Gid Pool regularly performs on cruises, won the Branson, MO comedy festival, and delights in sharing his quirky observations and opinions about everyday life.
Jacqueline and Mick Wands: This dynamic duo has lit up the stage separately at Visani's Comedy Club, Lemon Bay Play House, Venice Theatre and The Charlotte Players. Now, they team up on stage for the first time.
Tara Zimmerman: Tara is a finalist in Tampa's Sidesplitters Club Last Comic Stranded and has made audiences from here to Vancouver laugh for over a decade. Tara especially likes explores her marriage to husband B-O-B.
Tickets are available here (online) for only $20. If you wait and try to buy them at the door, it will cost you $25, so it's best if you buy your tickets now.
As always, Common Grounds is a BYOB VENUE. That means, if you want a glass of wine or a bottle of beer, then you will need to bring it from home. We'll be happy to sell you bottled water and snacks.
And remember, while there may be a line, there is NEVER a charge to use our bathrooms. They are ALWAYS FREE!!!
