Crowned as the “first of its kind” Mandeville Beer Garden is proud to carry the legacy of craft beer and beer gardens in Sarasota. Mandeville brings the craft experience to Sarasota by widening its horizons and focusing on community. That’s why Mandeville is family and dog friendly and is about so much more than just beer. Visiting Mandeville results in a full experience, not just an ice cold pint. You’ll choose from a selection of 32 taps and assorted cans and bottles, pair your drink with snacks and meals designed for your beer, and then head outside to the dining area to relax and play a few outdoor games.
Mandeville’s draft list covers everything. They have it all from pilsners and pale lagers to ciders and meads to sours and fruit beer. Try and orange blossom pilsner from Orlando or a B. Nektar Zombie Killer Cherry Cider for the apocalypse. For wheat beers take a sip of Darwin circa 1926 Wheat all the way from Bradenton and follow that up with a 7venth Sun Control Freak from Dunedin. Support local brewing with the formerly Focus Calusa Zote IPA from Sarasota. For a brown ale try the Bourbon Barrel Save Some Room for Later from Oakland Park’s Funky Buddha. Try a twist on a classic with the Nitro Guinesse draught and then pay an homage to tourism with MIA Brewing’s Tourist Trappe Tripel from Doral, FL. Round out the menu with Sour and Fruit beer by trying the Ommegang Pale Sour Ale.
From appetizers, soups and salads, sliders, sandwiches, grilled cheese, hot dogs and burgers, Mandeville has something for everyone. Start out with house made pork rinds, a classic warm pretzel or fried pickle chips with special harissa ranch dipping sauce. If the summer heat means you need a light lunch, try their summer salad bursting with strawberries, walnuts, onions and blue cheese. But this beer garden isn’t just for summer days, during the winter months the MBG Beer Chili will keep you warm with plenty of beans and spices. Consider their special grilled cheese section and try The Rosemary with rosemary butter and brie, or make your own. It isn’t a beer garden with out sausage so try the MBG German Board, a traditional brat, or their footlong hotdog. No one can forget their assortment of burgers, for a burn try the MBG Popper burger, and to combat the beers, try their hangover burger. For non-meat eaters, there’s also the Chipotle bean vegetarian burger and the vegan garden burger. Bee sure to pair the best burgers in town with the best onion rings. If there’s still room after all of that Mandeville doesn’t disappoint with desserts, snack on mini donuts, a dessert pretzel, or enjoy Orange Octopus Ice Cream, handmade in Siesta Key in a variety of four flavors: honey bourbon, sea salt caramel, ooey-gooey brownie and coffee.
After all that food you’ll need some games to keep you awake so enjoy tournaments of ping pong and cornhole. And during sports seasons, plenty of TVs will keep you caught up with your favorite teams. Bring along your kids and your dog and enjoy a nice afternoon at Sarasota’s first craft beer garden. And if you love it during the week, stop by for brunch with some boozy-breakfast options. Keep up with the weekly schedule, including Service Industry Mondays where service industry workers get 15% off, Trivia Tuesdays and live music Fridays. Happy hour is from 4 – 7 p.m. Monday through Friday with a special late-night happy hours Friday and Saturday from 11 p.m. – 1 a.m. Pencil them in for their annual Octoberfest and start enjoying local brews today.
