Big Top Brewing Company is a team filled with Florida grown brewers, so they know the flavors and tastes you’re seeking when you crack open a fresh can of beer. Having lived in Sarasota all of their lives, they're aware of the history that fills the gorgeous beachfront city.
Though it's typically seen as a tourist destination with white sand beaches, Big Top Brewing wants to make it a destination for world-renowned beer as well! They get their artwork from the Ringling College of Art and Design, so you’ll be drinking beer from a beautiful can or bottle. It’s all about the aesthetics!
The Darwin Brewing Company is proud to be a catalyst of the craft beer landscape of Florida. Not only can their beers be found at many local restaurants, bars, markets and convenience stores all throughout Florida, but they also were one of the first breweries in Sarasota.
Head to their tap room for some really special beer that incorporates ingredients indigenous to Florida! Their year-round beers are Summadayze IPA, Circa 1926 Tangerine Wheat, Pirata Pilsner, and Llama Mama Milk Stout.
When I think of cool and unique breweries that serve up a good time alongside their craft beers, Motorworks Brewing is the first one that comes to mind! They have over 30 beers on tap and also offer wine and spirits for those of you who prefer other liquor.
When you sit down, you get their complimentary bowls of popcorn (you gotta love anywhere that feeds you for free!). The taproom offers video games such as darts, Golden Tee, and bowling. The 12,000 square-foot beer garden includes two bocce ball courts, a three-hole putting green, and six corn hole boards. This husband-and-wife owned craft microbrewery and gastropub is located in Bradenton and consists of an 8 bbl brewhouse, 2 bbl pilot system, and a small batch PicoBrew system plus a 3 kg coffee roaster. They make big batches of a variety of brews as well as seasonal favorites like small, seasonal and experimental brews.
The gastropub menu features high-quality, crafty food that's meant to pair with all of their beers. Husband and Wife duo, Mike and Sandra Krail, like to think the food is as unique as their brews! Stop by any night of the week to hear how they went from homebrewers to brew masters to fulfill their dream of opening a brewery… over a couple of beers, of course!
