Selby Gardens will be swinging on February 17 at 5:30 pm when Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota presents the unique jazz perspective of Luca Stine and the Crosscurrent Quartet. The group offers fresh takes on American Songbook selections by Cole Porter and George Gershwin, as well as their own genre-blending compositions. Trumpeter Stine is a native Sarasotan and two-time Suncoast Scholarship winner who has been honing his skills at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music – one of the country’s premiere jazz programs. Already a rising star in the Miami jazz scene, Stine brings his quartet home to Sarasota for this stylish program.
