Fine arts painter Tony Reinemann’s oil paintings have been described as a blend of social and magic realism that evoke a highly exaggerated Edward Hopper in a Hitchcock film. With multiple themes running throughout his works, his sharply defined visuals tell stories limited only by the viewer’s imagination. His paintings have been exhibited at the Museum of the National Academy of Design in New York and the Whitney Museum of American Art. His painting, “Long Island City,” won First Prize in Art Center Sarasota’s Staying Connected exhibition in 2021.
This pop-up show runs in conjunction with our main exhibit and can be viewed every Saturday from 2:00-5:00 p.m.
Special FREE docent tour April 16, 3 pm: Have you seen all the beautiful paintings in our gallery, including the Sarasota Art Colony artworks? A docent will lead you through our exhibit of more than 25 pieces from that illustrious period. Then sip a glass of wine while you enjoy Reinemann create a painting – live in the gallery! No RSVP – just stop by and enjoy!
