Sizzling Summer Bellydance Series with Megan!

Is the Florida summer not hot enough for you? Treat yourself or someone special this season to some sizzle, sensuality and spice, and dive into this bellydance course held at Art Avenue every Wednesday night at 6:30pm! Surrounded by beautiful art work, this summer course offered by International Productions welcomes dancers of all levels to join in the fun and shimmy the summer away. Dancers with previous or advanced experience will be challenged and explore new layering techniques.

Megan’s bellydance technique is playful and earthy, with a strong emphasis on isolated layering and contemporary Egyptian aesthetics. She is an innovative dance artist based in Sarasota and Miami. Megan has been choreographing and performing for 20 years professionally, and is super passionate about teaching. She holds teachers certifications from Miami’s Middle Eastern Dance Exchange, Bozenka’s Bellydance Academy, and International Productions. She has previously taught Bozenka’s advanced technique class in Miami and at a variety of acclaimed studios in South and Central Florida. She holds a Bachelors in Dance from Florida International University and was previously Director of her own Binti Drum and Dance Ensemble. She is currently the principal dancer for Tahja at Ya Salaam Dance Company based in Sarasota, a world dance organization which she has been happily working with for more than two decades.
