We are in search of a new potter and met Carla of Carla's Clay in north Sarasota. She has an awesome gallery and studio where she teaches people how to create amazing pottery.
Event Details
She's been open for 17 years and, like us, is all about the locals. We decided that we want to do something fun that involves our love pottery, beer and cider!
Carla and I have put together a special night for 25 of our 3Keys "family members" where she'll teach you how to make pottery and we'll provide you with complimentary beer and cider. Bring your friends, bring your family or attend by yourself - you'll end up making friends!
Over the 2 hours class, Carla will teach you how to throw clay (I guess that's the term?) and paint some awesome pottery and then she'll fire it and provide you with a finished piece in a couple of weeks. You'll be making either a bowl, tray plate or wall pocket. Check out Carla's FB page for photos of her work or people making awesome pottery!
