Description
The Englewood Art Center (EAC), a division of Ringling College of Art + Design, is focused on education, exhibitions, and events for the entire community. The Englewood Art Center (EAC) is a division of Ringling College of Art and Design, a premier, non-profit, private, independent college of art and design, located in Sarasota, Florida www.ringling.edu. The EAC focuses on three distinct areas: education, exhibitions, and events. Our goal is to be a catalyst for creativity and arts appreciation for the entire community to promote knowledge, appreciation, and development of visual arts to southern Sarasota County and Charlotte County, Florida.
The Center includes four gallery spaces: The Ken Mitchell Gallery offering invitational exhibitions, the Warren Loranger Gallery which is dedicated to community artists, and our Members Gallery that showcases our EAC Member artists, and the Mangrove Gallery sales space. The Center is home to two well-equipped 2D studio classrooms, a pottery studio, a digital media studio, and a lending library.
The EAC is a member-supported organization. We receive our funding by annual membership and course fees, proceeds from special events, endowments, and contributions by supporters. We welcome all newcomers and encourage anyone interested in the arts to come join us.
