Ceili dance instruction with Debbie Freeman from 1-2PM followed by a fun Irish Ceili dance from 2-3PM. The "class plus ceili" is a new format for us and it's also a chance for those taking Irish Ceili and Set Dance classes to have fun and practice what we've learned. [A Ceili (kālē) is a social event at which there is Irish or Scottish folk music and singing, traditional dancing, and storytelling.]
Our instructor, Debbie, lives in Bradenton and comes down to Englewood once a month on Sunday (varies) to teach ceili dancing! She previously owned the Tir Na N'Og Irish Dance School in Michigan, where she also held regular ceili dances for the community.
Come dance with us, Irish style!! It's great exercise and a fun social event.
Everyone is welcome! $10.00 includes Irish tea & Soda Bread
