Sarasota Concert Band Veterans Day Concert

The concert will honor the Men and Women of our Armed Services, with Patriotic Music and music of American Composers. This concert is the first of the 65th Anniversary season of the Sarasota Concert Band. In that time, the Band has been honored to present American composed, Patriotic concerts, throughout the Suncoast area. Although the band has done several concerts at Hope Lutheran Church, this will be the first honoring our American Heroes. Some of the music performed will be: God Bless America, America the Beautiful, Battle Hymn of the Republic, music from the broadway show Oklahoma, An Armed Services Salute and much more. Also there will be music from John Phillip Sousa, George M Cohan, and Glenn Miller. And The Band will also present a Sun Coast Premier of a piece by local American composer Pasquale Spino. The concert will also feature the fantastic soprano voice of Samantha Lane. Her past performances with the Sarasota Concert Band have left audiences stunned with the purity and beauty of her voice. A voice truly suited for Patriotic and Broadway music.
