Project Appleseed™ is a nationwide, non-profit, educational program that teaches modern rifle marksmanship skills from beginner to advanced levels along with the history and principles of our Nation's founding. Non-political, multiple instructors
Event Details
Learn the essentials of shooting a modern rifle from multiple positions (standing, kneeling, sitting, prone), 6 steps to firing the shot, breathing and trigger control, natural point of aim, inches, minutes & clicks (or how to zero your rifle in 3 easy steps), range estimation, trajectory and a whole lot more!
In addition to expert marksmanship instruction, students will listen to historical storytellers passionately share the Three Strikes of the Match, a series of three pivotal events that ignited the Revolutionary War.
Project Appleseed™ is part of a nationwide, non-profit, educational organization that teaches rifle marksmanship skills and history of our Nation's founding. This two-day event will include instruction on gun safety and proper marksmanship techniques. Students will also have the opportunity to earn the coveted "Rifleman" patch by shooting a qualifying score on the Appleseed Qualification Test (AQT). Events are suitable for both new and experienced shooters. Families are welcome.
Project Appleseed™ is served by more than 650 volunteers and has taught more than 70,000 people in all 50 states since 2006. No matter your current skill level, this class will give you the tools to excel, based on proven techniques. Will you take the challenge and earn the coveted title of "Rifleman?"
What you should bring:
A desire to learn and improve.
Centerfire rifle, .22 rimfire rifle (or both)
GI Web Type or other sling strongly recommended.
250 rounds of ammunition per day (for each rifle)
Eye and ear protection. Mat or ground cloth.
Hat and sunscreen. Rain gear, layered clothes.
Water, lunch, snacks. Some friends!
Appleseed Fees:
Adults - 60.00 (Saturday and Sunday included!)
Youth Under 18 - 20.00
Separate gun range fees must be collected on the day of the event ($15/day adults, $10/day youth)
Directions:
From I-75 take exit 220 east (State Road 64). Proceed east twenty two miles to Logue Road. Turn left, go north 1.2 miles to the entrance on the left.
