Even the fish are getting into Halloween at Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium in Sarasota. Bring the family in full costume to the aquarium on October 18 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Throughout the facility, there will be spooky activities for you and your family to participate in. Watch some pumpkin carving in the shark habitat and more!
On October 18 beginning at 4:00 p.m., the Annual Sarasota Oktoberfest hits Downtown Sarasota on Gulf Stream. Admission is free. If you can’t attend Friday night, the event continues Saturday and Sunday as well. Enjoy delectable German food, refreshing drinks, and great live music, all while enjoying German-themed entertainment.
SRQ Family Fun Halloween Party
Has your family been ready for Halloween since October 1? Not all of Sarasota celebrates early, but Knockerball N' Ninjas will be having their family Halloween party on October 19. From 9:00 to 11:30 a.m., bring the entire family out for crafts, face painting, Halloween activities, and more. This event is for children 11 years old and under. Every child must have a ticket in order to participate. Price includes trick-or-treat bag and treat and a mini pumpkin for each child.
For some people, the best thing about fall isn’t the pumpkin spice or the haunted houses. It’s all about the fashion. If that sounds like you, check out The Bazaar on Apricot & Lime on October 19 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The café will host a fashion show to benefit people struggling with breast cancer. They do require reservations for the even and suggest a $5 donation.
Celtoberfest: Music & Beer Fest
Motorworks Brewing is hosting a different kind of Oktoberfest beginning on October 19 at 2:00 p.m. Bringing a clash of the Celtic and Bavarian cultures to Sarasota, this event will be something to see. A wonderful fusion of beer, apparel, and music will create an amazing and unique atmosphere you will want to be a part of. Vendors will be selling art, food, cocktails, and, of course, beer. Bring your entire family, including your dog, to this family affair.
