Make this weekend a family weekend at the Sarasota Winter Carnival. Starting on January 16 at 5:00 p.m., The Mall at University Town Center will be swarming with games, rides and activities for the whole family. With live music from a Guns N Roses tribute band and fair food, there will be plenty of things to keep your family entertained. The event lasts through the weekend and ends on January 20 at 9:00 p.m.
If you are looking for a way to sample some of the best food that downtown Sarasota has to offer, you won’t want to miss this guided tour. Meet other locals at the chef statue in front of Mattison's City Grille | Downtown Sarasota on January 16 at 4:00 p.m. to start the experience. Sarasota Seafood & Music Festival
For good music, delicious food, and a great time, head over to JD Hamel Park anytime from January 17 at 4:00 p.m. to January 19 at 6:00 p.m. In true Florida style, fresh local seafood will be prepared on site for you to enjoy. There will also be meat and vegetarian options available as well as all kinds of beverages. Musicians will perform live music in hip hop, reggae, rock and more throughout the weekend.
On January 18 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m., check out a variety of handmade items at Big Top Brewing Company . If you are looking for unique décor for your home or a special gift for a friend, this market will have plenty of options that are sure to thrill you. A variety of vendors including Earth Tricks, Bear and Sunshine, and The Wave Inspired will be offering their skillfully crafted piece for sale. Food trucks and beverages will also be available for purchase.
10th Annual Taste of St. Armands
St. Armands Circle invites you to come participate in this event showcasing the award-winning eateries in the beautiful community. More than eighteen restaurants will prepare samples of some of the best and most beloved recipes on their menus. Wineries and microbreweries will also be participating. Join other locals as they embrace what this area has to offer. Tickets are just $75 if purchased by January 18 at 3:00 p.m.
Sarasota Beer & Burger Throw Down
Beginning at 12:00 p.m. on January 18, The Mall at University Town Center will welcome the best local restaurants and food trucks for the ultimate beer and burger competition. The judges will be celebrity guests, but each guest will also get the opportunity to vote for their favorite for the People’s Choice Award. Choose from samples of thirty different burgers and more than twelve craft brews. Live music, face painting, bounce houses, and other fun make this perfect for the entire family.
