SRQ Holiday Tour of Lights
There’s not much time left to go out and see all the wonderful decorations in Sarasota. Join the Laurel Oak Country Club on December 19 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. to tour the community. For just $50 per person, you will snack on hors d’oeuvres, wine, and beer before heading out on the SRQ Trolley. You’ll see some of the best Christmas decorations in Sarasota on the tour.
Friday, December 20th
2019 The Jingle 5K
Want to get one more holiday run in before Christmas? Head over to Lakewood Ranch Main Street on December 20 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. You can walk or run through the festive course with snow machines holiday music. Either way, you’ll be decked out with jingle bells and laces as you race to benefit the Lakewood Ranch Medical Center Auxiliary’s Nursing and Health Centers’ Scholarship Program.
Saturday, December 21st
Pixel Perfect Creations
On December 21, you and your family have the opportunity to make memories as your children create Plus-Plus blocks. Beginning at 10:00 a.m., this free-play activity welcomes children of all ages. They will imagine and build masterpieces appropriate for their age. Bring them out to Children's World and Children's World Uniform Supp to make new friends with other Sarasota local children.
Enchanted Holiday Fairy Tea
Make your reservations now for a magical tea that will make your children’s fantasies come to life. T The Children's Garden and Art Center are hosting a garden tea party in their Fairy Cottage on December 21 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Complete with sandwiches, sweets, and tea, your family will enjoy a fairy clue hunt in this beautiful setting. Creating fairy wands and houses will also be included in this wonderful event.
Twilight Yoga With Tigers
If you love yoga, you should visit the Big Cat Habitat & Gulf Coast Sanctuary for a completely new and exciting experience. On December 21 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., join other yoga enthusiasts and majestic animals for the very first yoga with tigers at twilight. As the sun goes down, you’ll be surrounded by the night sounds of Florida and large cats settling into their habitats for the evening.
Sunday, December 22nd
3rd Annual Christmas Jeep Parade
On December 22 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., you can choose to enjoy the Christmas Jeep parade in one of two ways. Your family can watch as the jeeps, complete with Christmas lights and décor, travel down Main Street, Siesta Village, and the UTC Mall. If you own a Jeep, decorate with lights and meet at St. Jude Catholic Church by 3:00 p.m. to participate in an event that celebrates the holidays and the Jeep.
