It's about to get medieval in Sarasota come November 12. Join the knights and jesters, kings and queens as they revel in this classic old time festival environment rife with food, drink, games, and more.
Going down on the weekends of November 12-13 and 18-19 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, the Sarasota Medieval Fair is a great place to go for a unique, family friendly time at the Sarasota Fairgrounds.
The Medieval Festival boasts a wide assortment of artisans, live performance artists, jousting matches, food and drink, games, and much, much more.
New live entertainment this year includes Acrobellum, a troupe of dazzling acrobats, tumblers, dancers, and fire performers; Wolmegut, a show featuring Ancient German bagpipes and drums; Tribal Fusion Bellydancing; Filthy Fairytales, a new, organic comedy show; and many more.
Jousting matches are the highlight of the Sarasota Medieval Fair and there are a ton to watch each day of the festival this year. There will be a unique style of jousting each day; Northern Italian with no shields, Plankengestech, Realgestech, and more.
There will also be a wide variety of talented artisans and artists on hand with unique items for purchase. Browse goods including jewelry, art and sculptures, stained glass, musical instruments, henna tattoos, and festival souvenirs. Food and drink as well as games of chance and rides will also be on hand.
