Fall is here but it's still hot! While the palm trees may be a reminder of Sarasota’s year-round summer, fall events in Sarasota alert residents that the leaves are changing colors somewhere. Fall into the holiday spirit with the Beer, Bands & BBQ fest presented by Music Compound, Sarasota’s music studio that provides an environment to inspire children and adults in pursuit of their love for music, on Saturday, October 7 from 12 - 7 p.m. at the Sarasota Farm Bureau.
This family-friendly event will kick off with a performance from Music Compound students. Each hour a different music genre will be played. Forty-five minute live acts will feature dance band Funktastic Soul, nationally acclaimed blues artist Steve Arvey, and well-known banjo player, Banjo Bob with Trailer Tricks. As well as Finger Picks, Jah Movement, Celtic band Blue Skye Pipe and Drums, Got Talent Winner Trey Wanvig, and rising stars from Music Compound. This event will have music that everyone can enjoy!
Tickets for general admission are $15 at the gate, which includes admission and parking. Tickets can be purchased online in advance for a discounted rate of $10. Food and drinks are available for purchase. Come enjoy craft beer on tap and BBQ-inspired dishes such as BBQ chicken pizza from local restaurants. Guests are welcome to bring chairs or blankets. The event is rain or shine!
“Beer, Bands & BBQ is a great day to get outside, enjoy the fall day, eat good food, and hear lots of great music,” says Music Compound owner and President Jenny Alday Townsend.
