Description

Quality Martial Arts offers a variety of programs suited to fit the varieties of people. Our main martial arts curriculum is based around the Korean art of Tae Kwon Do, the way of the foot and fist. Tae Kwon Do builds CONFIDENCE, fosters DISCIPLINE, develops RESPONSIBILITY, increases AWARENESS, and cultivates a sense of ACCOUNTABILITY. This style is founded on the tenants of Tae Kwon Do: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit. Each student learns to adhere to the oath taken and recited daily by every practitioner of TKD: "I will observe the tenants of Tae Kwon Do, I will respect all instructors and seniors, I will never misuse Tae Kwon Do, I will be a champion of freedom and justice, I will build a more peaceful world." Tae Kwon Do emphasizes stretching, technique and form application, self-defense, sparring, and conditioning to increase balance, body control, flexibility, and mental alertness. Another program of ours is a system of Ju-Jitsu recognized and accepted by the United States Ju-Jitsu Federation (USJJF), the National Governing Body of Ju-Jitsu in the United States for the Ju-Jitsu International Federation (JJIF). It is a dynamic system of combat and self-defense that allows the practitioner to learn common-sense, SIMPLE and direct methods to avoid and/or survive a violent encounter.
